Office Relocation
Irvine has recently relocated their offices to a Rural Business Enterprise Hub. With staff splitting their time between working from home and their office during the COVID-19 pandemic, they made the decision to move to more suitable premises. They are continuing a hybrid approach, with staff spending some time at home and sometime in the office. Their new office space suits their way of working now more than their former office location.
Relocating offices meant moving all IT equipment to their new premises, including the server hosting their line-of-business application. ACUTEC’s engineers liaised with the service centre of Irvine’s new offices to make sure the transition went smoothly. Matthew Finch, Director, commented: “there were always going to be some technical glitches, but ACUTEC made sure everything was resolved quickly.”

Remote Working
Remote working was new to Irvine’s staff. Until the pandemic, their staff rarely worked from home. Irvine has embraced the Cloud – which allows their staff to work from anywhere. With their emails hosted in Exchange Online, they have the base means to be able to work remotely or at home.
“Their engineers are superb. When issues have arisen, they have quickly worked hard through the problem to get it fixed. They keep us informed each step of the way.”
And when issues with technology arise, Irvine staff know that they will be resolved quickly by ACUTEC’s engineers. “I don’t have to be here to make sure our technology is working. I have confidence that issues will be resolved”.
